It's been a busy year with plenty of paint-outs,  multiple commissions, a move to a large new studio and an epic painting trip to Ireland for nearly three weeks.   There is lots of inventory, although the Ireland color studies aren't for sale yet.   Those will be needed to put together a 2019 Solo Show "Beautiful Ireland."    

The holidays are coming and I'd love to send a painting your way for you or a loved one!

Great News!   My application to participate in the Fifth Annual Finger Lakes Plein Air Competition and Festival was accepted.    I will be travelling to upstate New York in June to compete with thirty nine other painters.   I've never been to the area so I am really looking forward to it.   In addition to the three days of painting to produce three paintings,  there will be a "quick paint" competition - two hours to complete and frame a painting from scratch.    For some reason, I really enjoy this form of torture. :)    

If you are in Boston, be sure to take in the sights and sounds on Newbury Street in the Back Bay.    I currently have four paintings on display at the Copley Society of Art Winter Show.

Exciting news!   My painting "Graves Light" was accepted into the Boston Guild of Artists Annual Juried Show.   

The Awards Reception will take place on Saturday, October 3, 3 - 5 PM, and the show will be on display for the month of October.

I'll have two paintings in this new September show at South Street Gallery in Hingham: 

Next weekend starts the last summer show for PCA before the big juried show in September.   I'm putting a couple of pieces into the show, the theme for which is "Plymouth - Land and Sea."   Hope you can stop in over the next four weeks to see them!   Here is one of my entries.
